The Egyptian Automotive & Trading Co. (EATC)—Egypt’s official Audi Importer—has announced the introduction of the 2024 Audi RS 5 Coupé and RS Q3 Sportback to the Egyptian market, thereby expanding its high-performance RS lineup in the country, following the successful launch of the RS Q8 in late 2022.
A more muscular and aggressive version of its S5 and A5 siblings, the RS 5 Coupé is designed for those who demand blistering performance without sacrificing luxury, comfort, or everyday usability. Visually, the RS 5 Coupé stands out, thanks to the Black Appearance package plus that features black exterior trim, black rings and badging, and black-out 20-inch wheels. Other key exterior highlights include Matrix LED headlights with Audi laser light and dynamic turn signals, RS bumpers, a roof in a contrasting color, a rear spoiler, a panoramic glass sunroof, a striking rear diffuser, a door entrance LED lighting with an RS logo projector, and an RS exhaust system.
Moving to the interior, we can find a mix of rich materials and high-tech equipment. The driver will be greeted by fine Nappa leather upholstery in black with honeycomb stitching as part of the sports seats plus package. The seats are very supportive and feature massage functions for the driver and front passenger. The cabin also comes with a high-mounted 10.1-inch touchscreen for the MMI infotainment system, along with a 12.3-inch high-resolution screen for the Audi Virtual Cockpit plus system with an additional RS layout. Key interior features include RS scuff plates, three-zone automatic air-conditioning, pedal cluster and footrest made of stainless steel, a Bang & Olufsen premium with 3D sound system, an Audi phone box, an Audi smartphone interface, a head-up display, and an RS sport suspension plus with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) function.
The high-performance two-door coupé is powered by a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 engine that produces 450 hp and 600 Nm of torque. The six-cylinder mill is mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission (Tiptronic) that sends power to a Quattro all-wheel-drive system. With such a powerful powertrain, the premium coupé’s top speed has been increased to 280 km/h.
As for the 2024 Audi RS Q3 Sportback, it is a premium SUV with a sloping roofline that has enough power to pump adrenaline into your veins. With a more aggressive design than its Q3 sibling, the second-generation RS Q3 was first unveiled in late 2019. The gloss black Singleframe with its three-dimensional honeycomb structure, and the darkened Matrix LED headlights at the front give the RS Q3 Sportback an even sharper look. The exterior of the new compact SUV also sports RS-specific bumpers, a striking rear diffuser, an RS-specific spoiler lip, black-out 21-inch wheels, a panoramic glass sunroof, and an RS exhaust system.
The interior of the latest RS Q3 Sportback accommodates up to five people. It features a 12.3-inch high-resolution screen for the Audi Virtual Cockpit system and a main display measures 10.1 inches at the center stack. The cabin also comes with a wide range of luxury features, such as the ambient lighting package plus, three-zone automatic air-conditioning, fine Nappa leather sports seats plus at the front with honeycomb stitching, and a SONOS 3D sound system. Other key interior features also include power-adjustable front seats with a memory function and four-way lumbar support, pedal cluster and footrest made of stainless steel, an RS sport suspension plus with damper control, and cruise control.
The 2024 RS Q3 Sportback debuts with a powerful five-cylinder 2.5 TFSI that delivers 400 hp and 480 Nm of torque. Coupled with a seven-speed (S-tronic) transmission, the five-cylinder mill sends power to a Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The premium SUV can run from zero to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 280 km/h.
