Keeping in line with back-to-school season, talabat, the region’s leading food delivery platform, recently announced a new deal available to customers – the “30 EGP Meals” offer.
Partnering with a growing list of popular restaurants, customers can now place orders through talabat for only 30 Egyptian Pounds, including free delivery with certain meals.
Sofiène Marzouki, Managing Director of talabat Egypt says, “At talabat, one of our core focus areas revolves around offering affordable meals to our customers. We also pay a lot of attention in making sure we help businesses thrive from this – offering a win-win solution within our ecosystem. With the new academic year about to set course, we wanted to find a way to cater to our young customers and offer them delicious, yet affordable meals.”
Commenting on how the “30 EGP Meals” offers an alternative solution for those avoiding packed areas, Marzouki added: “Another key factor behind the introduction of the “30 EGP Meals” is offering those looking to enjoy an affordable meal at a time where the public are encouraged to social distance. Avoiding busy spots and long cues outside of restaurants, customers can still have their favourite meals delivered to them conveniently.”
The “30 EGP Meals” promotion is one of the many offers introduced to talabat customers in Egypt. The initiative joined a list of others implemented to help stop the spread of COVID-19, including contactless delivery for the protection of both customers and riders alike. Encouraging cashless payments to avoid the spread of COVID, talabat and VISA previously partnered to offer customers discounts up to 50% on orders when paying their orders through eligible online payment methods.
talabat intends to introduce further offers and invest strongly in the Egyptian market since its recent rebrand from Otlob to talabat. Along with the introduction of 50,000 new freelance rider jobs in eight cities, talabat intends to work towards serving over 55 million Egyptians nationwide, with plans to continue along the same path during next year’s expansion.
