Today, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received a telephone call from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They exchanged views on ways to enhance cooperation frameworks between the two countries in the areas of health, scientific research and technology as well as both countries’ efforts to combat the spread of the coronavirus. There was agreement on joint coordination in areas relevant to the spread of the virus through the exchange of successful experiences and contact between bodies concerned with control efforts and health protection measures.
The prime minister of India greeted the President on the occasion of the upcoming holy month of Ramadan and expressed that his country values the longstanding bonds and close relations it shares with Egypt. He also highlighted the care that the Indian community receives in Egypt and valued the progress that Egypt has made in the past years in the fields of security, stability and development.
President El Sisi confirmed Egypt’s keenness to elevate cooperation with India across various fields, particularly at the economic level, and to maximize trade and increase inter investment.
