Otlob launches “El Market”, a new service that delivers groceries to its customers
Otlob partnering up with several well-known groceries partners to support home needs
Otlob, the leading online food ordering platform, is accelerating its push into grocery delivery and partnered up with several well-known grocery chains, aligning with the company’s main goal to provide the Egyptian community with the safest and easiest ordering experience.
Otlob is launching a new vertical delivering thousands of items, such as fresh vegetables and fruits, canned food, beverages, dairy products, meat and other household needs.
The ordering process is as simple as ordering food, which Otlob customers have been accustomed to for years now.
Sofiène Marzouki, Otlob’s Managing Director, said “The delivery time of the order will range from 60 to 90 minutes. Users can also simply determine the suitable delivery date and time in case he/she needs to reserve specific requests for the next day”
Sofiène added “We are going to rely heavily on our 2,500 delivery heroes, planning on increasing their number to reach 10,000 delivery agents by the end of this year”
Sofiène added: “We offer our new service everyday and during curfew time, after the recent decision issued by the Council of Ministers to activate the delivery service during the curfew time to help people stay home and safe.”
This statement came after the company allocated 10 million Egyptian pounds supporting its restaurant partners and customers in the light of the spread of the Coronavirus.
“We do not know when the current crisis will end, but what we are certain of is that we will provide all the needed support and assistance to our users, partners, and the Egyptian community. Adding a new service such as “El Market” will provide our customers with a safer way to order their needs without subjecting themselves to any danger” Sofiène added.
It is worth noting that the market vertical will include the Kiosk service as will which was launched last year by Otlob.
