Dr. Mohamed Salah Launches Phase Two of ECC’s Beauty Industry Support Initiative
Dr. Mohamed Salah, CEO of the Egyptian Company for Cosmetics (ECC) which produces more than 70% of Egypt’s top local beauty brands and the undersecretary of the cosmetics division at the export council for medical industries announced the launch of the second phase of ECC’s support program for small and medium-sized businesses in the beauty industry. This initiative is designed to help young entrepreneurs create and launch their own beauty brands in the Egyptian market, starting from an idea to a final ready for sale product.
The first phase of the program, which ran from September to November 2024, received over 200 applications. 14 promising projects were selected and supported based on their unique needs. This support included help with product development, manufacturing, financial planning, and business advice. The goal was to improve the quality of locally made products and help them compete with international brands.
Three standout brands won financial awards and received full production support along with personalized guidance from experts in marketing and business planning. This helped them grow stronger and build a long-term presence in the market.
This year, the second phase comes with a fresh approach, focusing fully on new ideas. ECC will help entrepreneurs bring their vision to life by offering everything they need—from product design and formulation to registration, production, packaging, distribution, and getting products into the hands of customers.
