Nissan Egypt has officially launched the new Nissan Qashqai and Nissan Juke
Nissan Egypt has officially launched the new Nissan Qashqai and Nissan Juke at a special event at El Gouna on the Red Sea attended by journalists and automotive industry leaders.
Built in Nissan’s cutting-edge Sunderland plant in the United Kingdom, the new models have made their debut in Egypt, boasting refreshed designs and advanced technological features, enhancing comfort and safety which address the requirements of the Egyptian market.
The iconic North African country is a very important market for Nissan, where the brand is consistently number 1 for the motoring public and where the company also has a wholly owned automotive assembly plant manufacturing the ever-popular Nissan SUNNY, SENTRA and a third model to be announced.
The African launch of these two class-leading models; rapidly becoming the SUVs of choice for the discerning urban and suburban traveler, underscores the importance of the Egyptian market for the company, said Nissan Africa President Jordi Vila: “Egypt is a strategic market for Nissan in Africa. We are introducing the New Nissan Qashqai and New Juke as part of our product strategy on the continent and these new models reflect our commitment to the continuous development of our products, as we focus on delivering mobility solutions that enhance Nissan’s position in Africa”.
At the launch event Mohamed Abdelsamad, Nissan Egypt Managing Director, said, “The two models align with Nissan Egypt’s strategy to consistently remain the number one customer choice in the market, ensuring that Nissan Defies Ordinary at every opportunity.
“The e-POWER technology has achieved significant success in the Egyptian market since it was introduced in the Nissan X-Trail last year, earning customer appreciation for its outstanding and efficient performance. We are excited to launch the new Qashqai with this technology further reinforcing our position as leaders providing innovative and sustainable driving solutions.”
New Nissan Qashqai: Bold restyling, upgraded tech, Highlighted by e-POWER Technology
The Nissan Qashqai stands out with its sharp, modern dynamic design, boosted by in-car technologies and enhanced interior features, reinforcing its leading position in its class and reaffirming its legacy as an innovator. The front grille of the Qashqai has been comprehensively updated to create a more striking first impression. It now consists of dozens of high gloss three-dimensional comma-shaped elements which appear to float in the space between the lip of the bonnet and the numberplate holder. On the top-grade version, these design elements are finished in satin chrome.
New headlights bring a sense of purpose and presence, with an even sharper look. Below the main lens the daytime running lights consist of five small lenses which are the same shape as the styling of the main grille. The daytime running lights now encircle the main headlight lens, joining with the thin light above the headlight, as it did in the previous iteration of Qashqai. The upper daytime running light element becomes the turn indicator when activated and, for the first time, features sequential turning lights front and rear (according to the grade).
New colors have been added, such as Deep Ocean, which is a blend of dark blue and metallic teal, and Pearl White, which reflects a pure pearly white color that gives the car a special glow in different lighting conditions, in addition to Pearl Black, which enhances the dynamic shape of the car with its deeper, clearer black color and has the effect of sharpening the definition of the Qashqai’s visual geometry.
The new N-Design grade extends the Qashqai lineup. This grade is the only one equipped with e-POWER technology, which enhances performance efficiency and provides an innovative driving experience.
The level of comfort and luxury has been greatly enhanced inside the cabin, with the steering wheel covered in special leather starting from the N-Connecta grade. A Heads-Up Display (HUD) has been added, which provides the driver with important information while driving. For an exceptional audio experience, the higher models come with a Bose sound system that includes 10 speakers. The Tekna grade and above feature customizable ambient lighting in multiple colors, creating a sophisticated and comfortable atmosphere inside the cabin.
Advanced Safety and Exceptional Comfort
The new Nissan Qashqai is equipped with advanced safety features, including the Around View Monitor (AVM), Blind Spot Intervention (BSI), Traffic Sign Recognition, automatic emergency braking (front and rear), and Moving Object Detection (MOD). The vehicle also features automatic locking when the driver walks away and automatic unlocking upon approach.
The interior has been significantly improved to provide maximum comfort and luxury. The dashboard in the higher models is covered in luxurious Alcantara material, and the seats have been redesigned for a more premium feel. The top-of-the-line trim comes with premium leather seats for added passenger comfort.
Nissan Qashqai ICE is equipped with a 1.3 Liter engine generating 148 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque and is also available in 4WD.
e-POWER: Nissan’s unique and innovative powertrain
Since its launch in September 2022, Nissan has sold more than 140,000 Qashqai e-POWER cars.
The key to e-POWER’s unique and innovative powertrain is that the wheels are only ever driven directly by the electric motor, unlike traditional hybrids. A pure electric motor direct drive to the wheels means no gearbox lag, instant high torque and linear response. It represents an EV-drive sensation without the need to think of charging – a stepping-stone for customers who aren’t yet ready to make the switch to 100% EV.
New Nissan Juke: Diverse Trims and Modern Design
The Nissan Juke arrives with a fresh lineup, featuring four distinct ranges: the entry-level Acenta, the advanced Tekna, and the top-tier N-Design and N-Sport. Notably, the N-Design and N-Sport models are available with an eye-catching two-tone color scheme complemented by premium Alcantara interior accents.
Making a comeback by popular demand, the vibrant yellow color option returns to the Juke’s palette for the first time since the first generation’s launch. This striking yellow hue beautifully contrasts with the available black roof in the two-tone configuration. The extensive color selection also introduces new silver and red roof options, further enhancing the vehicle’s distinctive visual appeal.
Inside the cabin, yellow accents adorn the instrument panel and seats, while the “Juke” logo is proudly displayed on the seatbacks. The interior design is further elevated by yellow stitching, adding a touch of refinement.
Enhanced Interior Design and Exceptional Driving Experience
The Nissan Juke’s interior has undergone significant enhancements to elevate driver and passenger comfort. High-quality materials and an innovative design approach create a refined driving experience.
Key improvements include a new 12.3-inch central display, angled 8 degrees towards the driver for easier touchscreen access. The digital instrument cluster, also 12.3 inches in size and high-resolution in higher trims, has been enhanced as well. Connectivity technology supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for seamless smartphone integration.
All trims are equipped with an electronic parking brake, freeing up more space between the front seats. Tekna, N-Design, and N-Sport trims offer wireless charging. USB-A and USB-C ports are provided for front and rear passengers, along with a redesigned center armrest for enhanced support. In higher trims, a premium Bose sound system with 10 speakers delivers an immersive audio experience.
In terms of safety and driver-assistance technologies, the vehicle includes features such as Lane Departure Warning and a rearview camera in the Acenta grade. Higher grades offer the Around View Monitor (AVM) system, providing a 360-degree view during parking. All trims come standard with automatic locking upon departure and unlocking upon approach.
The Nissan Juke is powered by a 1.0-liter engine, generating 115 horsepower and 200 Newton meters of torque, delivering a sporty performance.
