A high-level delegation from Egypt Post, headed by Egypt Post Chairman, is participating in the Pan African Postal Union (PAPU)- 39th Ordinary Session of the Administrative Council, and the 10th Ordinary Session of the Plenipotentiary Conference held on June 21-25, in Zimbabwe.
Egypt has submitted its candidacy for the post of PAPU Secretary General during the meetings of the Plenipotentiary Conference.
The elections will include six candidates from Arab countries, who participate in the Forum of the Arab Permanent Postal Commission (APPC) to present their plans and vision to the participating Arab countries to choose who will represent them, at the international level, in the PAPU for a period of four years.
Egypt Post has nominated Sameh Soliman, Head of the International Cooperation Sector at Egypt Post, for the position of PAPU Secretary General during the elections that will be held.
He will be a representative of the Arab region in that significant regional position to create a space to strengthen Africa position and supports the common Arab-African interests.
