Sofiène Marzouki, Otlob’s Managing Director, supports the recent decision issued by the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, April 8th, allowing food delivery service all day throughout the week.
In efforts to limit COVID-19 spread, Mr. Mustafa Madbouly, the speaker of the Council, announced the extension of the curfew for two more weeks, and amending the curfew period to start from 8 PM instead of 7 PM.
Marzouki said “We are very aware of the responsibility that lies on the shoulders’ of all the sectors operating in Egypt, therefore we are exerting all our efforts to make sure that all our restaurant partners and delivery agents adhere to all preventive measures”.
“The safety of our riders and customers is our top priority. We distributed protective equipment to the delivery agents; including masks, medical gloves, and alcoholic disinfectants to ensure that orders are delivered safely. Otlob implemented the contactless delivery, encouraging customers to use online payment to limit the spread of the virus using cash” he added.
Otlob notified all the restaurant partners across Egypt of the updated working hours, which will directly contribute to the increase of daily orders.
Otlob has also waived its delivery fees across all cities in Egypt in an effort to encourage customers to stay at home and support restaurant partners to continue growing their business.
